Gallant Aquatic Ventures International (GAVI) is a woman veteran-owned small business that offers optimal solutions in extreme environments. GAVI specializes in Diving Equipment development, Biomedical aspects of diving as well as Diver Safety and Effectiveness research. We have protocols that can be rapidly transitioned to fleet capabilities by improving procedures or increasing levels of safety and survivability. GAVI aided in the development of equipment for Dräger and Poseidon and serves on the rebreather advisory board for the International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers. Amy Entress Dituri (owner of GAVI) earned her Bachelor's degree from Miami University of Ohio and is pursuing her Master's degree in Business Administration at the University of Tampa. She is a veteran of the first Gulf War and has a total of ten years active and reserve service as a commissioned Naval Officer. Amy is also an ROV pilot from the Association of Diving Contractors as well as an Advanced Nitrox Diver Instructor and technical rebreather supervisor with more than 100 hours on four different types of rebreathers. She has contributed to several diving manuals and was instrumental in filming and producing the FUNdamental series of underwater diver training videos. She has managed GAVI for the past 12+ years.
